Privacy

The short version. We collect as little as possible. The only cookies on this website belong to the Meta pixel, and they are set only if you click Accept on the cookie choice. The details you type into the Tenancy Agreement Generator never leave your own device (to unlock clean copies, only your access code is checked). Our hosting provider counts visits from its own server logs (pages viewed, country, the site you came from); nothing runs in your browser for that and nobody is identified.

Who we are

TESAVA LTD, company number 17346919, registered office 124 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, is the data controller. Contact hello@rentrightkit.co.uk about anything on this page.

The Tenancy Agreement Generator does not send us your data

The generator runs entirely inside your browser. The landlord, tenant and property details you enter, including any tenant names and addresses, are used to build the document on your own device and are never transmitted to us or to anyone else. We could not see them if we wanted to. When you unlock clean copies, the access code you enter is sent to our delivery site to check it is valid, and nothing else goes with it. Close the tab and they are gone, so save your document before you leave.

What we do collect

When you buy something, we receive your email address and the details of your order so that we can send you your files and deal with support. Payment is handled by Revolut and we never receive or store your card details. If you email us, we keep that correspondence so we can help you.

If you ask for the free 30-Day Action Plan, we keep your email address on our mailing list with Resend so we can send you the plan and then one email a month from the RentRight Kit team. Unsubscribe any time by replying to any of our emails, or with the link at the foot of the monthly email, and we take you off the list.

Why we are allowed to

We use your order details to perform the contract you entered into when you bought from us, and we keep records of sales because tax law requires it. We send the plan and the monthly email because you asked for them when you gave us your address, and you can withdraw that consent at any time by unsubscribing. We use the Meta pixel only if you agree to it on the cookie choice, and you can change that at any time.

Who we share it with

Only the suppliers who make the service work: Revolut for taking payment, Resend for sending your order and download emails, and Netlify for hosting; and Meta, only if you accept the pixel (see Cookies and the Meta pixel below). Each of them only receives what they need to do their part. We do not sell your data, we never give your email address or payment details to anyone for advertising, and we do not add you to a marketing list because you bought something.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for six years after the end of the relevant tax year, because HMRC requires it. Support emails are kept for two years. We delete what we no longer need.

Cookies and the Meta pixel

We use one optional tool that sets cookies: the Meta pixel, from Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, the company behind Facebook and Instagram. It loads only if you click Accept on the cookie choice. If you click Reject, or make no choice, it does not load and no cookie is set.

If you accept, the pixel tells Meta which pages of this site you visit, when you ask for the free plan, when you start a checkout and, after you pay, which toolkit you bought and the price, together with your browser and device details. Meta keeps an identifier in a cookie called _fbp, and in one called _fbc if you arrived from one of our adverts, each for up to 90 days. We use this to show RentRight Kit adverts on Facebook and Instagram to people who have visited this site, and to see whether those adverts work. Meta may link it to your own Facebook or Instagram account and uses it as its privacy policy describes. We never send Meta your email address, your name or your payment details.

You can change your mind at any time with Cookie choices at the foot of every page. Your choice is kept in your own browser, not in a cookie, for six months, and then we ask again.

Visits are also counted by our hosting provider, Netlify, from its own server logs: the page viewed, the country and the site you came from, with nothing that identifies you and nothing stored in your browser.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it, and object to how we use it. Email hello@rentrightkit.co.uk and we will respond within a month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
